you should try carribean gardens for something different, they have this wacky futuristic ride park that was built in the 70s and really colourful. also a roller rink too, its in scoresby near knox. also eastlink is really cool to drive along towards frankston there's all these installations..tarrawarra estate is nice in the yarra valley, the grounds are really beautiful. you would probably need a car though!
