Half the bands I go to see will be banned!

It's great that Greg Wadley has made the Fast Forwards available again. Even though I cringe when I look back on some of the material. And Rene made me sound almost coherent! I have been amazed at the recent interest in something that I was involved with over 30 years ago. As the Desperate Bicycles said ''It was easy, it was cheap - go and do it!''

That's weird. I used to do a rare records segment on the show (for about 6 months). Plus I'd go down to the studios with Au-go-go bands occasionally and my memory is that it was Friday night and that it all had to be juggled around band's soundchecks and gig times. Maybe my crack habit at the time was worse than I realised.

It would have been disgusting in the green room(s)/toilets backstage if it was live!

Recovery wasn't live. It was filmed on a Friday night (5 - 9) then edited down for Sat morn.

Mele (ex Rock Rider) is definitely the place in Osaka (Namba). Also Fandango. Bears (a tiny, tiny place is great for noise/exper. bands). Check out Time Bomb Records in AmericaMura/Shinsaibashi - the stairs leading down to the shop is a wall of hundreds of fliers for all the gigs of note. Akiba from Acid Eater works there, too. Check on N'Shokugawa Boys - an offshoot of King Brothers.
