I think the one thing he doesnt like talking about is shit that he did back in the olden days. He's always been interested in the next thing he is going to do. That's why his music is so interesting.

You know, when Todd did Skylarking, he got all the Andy and Colin Demos, edited them and stuck them in order, sent it back to them and told them that this is how the album is going to go. Then they recorded every song in the order they appear on the record. Andy had a sook because there were too many Colin songs.

It appears the only reason Andy bagged Skylarking for so long after it came out was because he couldn't accept that Todd did an amazing job on that record. I don't think Andy could ever accept that someone else would know more about something than he does. But Todd is a musical genius. But, he now agrees that it is a great album because of what Todd did.

utopia self titled is on 3 sides!

interesting how utopia was meant to be his prog project while the solo stuff was a little more pop. Then, some time in the early 80s, utopia was the pop band and the solo stuff became weirder.

I like XTC too.
