I gathered by the Rescue Remedy article in last weekend's Weekend Australian that this was nearly sink or swim time for the Australian film industry. 0.4% of tickets sold this year have been to Australian films - worst year ever - and if this flops it's goodbye film industry as we know it. Also, Kidman is a fine actor. She just can't play warm characters. She was great in Birth, but as a love interest, I can't understand how she gets cast at all.

It's going to need some seriously brilliant second round lineup announcement to be worth a look in. Even if Mozza is announced he'll be doing a sideshow anyway right? Previous years have seen acts do sideshows. It would be a travesty to have to sit through that shite to see him. Wonder how many fans would do it....

I notice tickets for V Festival 2009 go on sale on the 28th through Ticketmaster.

Least popular, yet still worthy. This film deserves multiple threads. I may well go start one abot his forthcoming Pinocchio adaptation. Due in 2012 I think. After del Toro has done his Hobbit films. man that guys is a GENIUS and he's commited himself to making movies until 2020, or so I read. Amazing list of adaptations. If he dies in some freak accident I'll be exceptionally pissed off.
