pumice did some great cassette drone and loop things when he played in canberra - anyone know if he's got any records out that concentrate on that stuff as opposed to the songs? (which are just as awesome by the way!)

i was there for one of the nights recorded and they definitely sounded on fire that night. the cocteaus cover is great, a song written for the shimmering quality of a string quartet really!

on the rune grammofon sale - you can get the two albums by skyphone for cheap plus the huntsville albums too. huntsville are like norwegian free improvisors who are doing a drone trio using slide guitars and electronic indian instruments. the second album features a live disc that sees the three of them with nels cline and glenn kotche from wilco joining them on stage!

just to add some good news - spartak has been invited by seaworthy to perform a collaborative set with them when they support melbourne band margins at sydney's sandringham hotel on july 10th so come see us dual with them after our launch show the night before!
