yeah he was a pick 7 - what a waste he was. we should have offloaded him when essendon and collingwood were trying to poach him. he'll be delisted/traded shortly.

yeah we finished 10th in 06. But we havent had a draft pick higher than 7 since 1990 or something. (of course we got Hawkins father son who probably would have gone 1 or 2). Im grateful to the club that we never bottomed out and built a list on shrewed recruiting but truth be known, we probably didnt have that luxury - if we had of bottomed out we probably would have gone under!

i dont think you tanked, I think they just had a mandate to clear out the list and draft first and second round picks over the space of a few years. The result of clearing out the list of course meant that you continued to finish near the bottom for a few years. It's never tanking, its list management.
