Things to do in Seattle

Comment I Made 2 days ago

ok going by the fervent enthusiasm for portland and lesser enthusiasm for seattle, it might be an idea to do more days in portland and fewer days in seattle. thanks also for seattle accommodation tips, will check them out.

I have 8 nights to split between Seattle and Portland. Can anyone who has been to both cities suggest a good split? Accom recs for Seattle also appreciated.

Best Thing about Austin

Hey trafficsounds, is there any chance you could post your updated recommendations in the thread? I'll have a few spare days in Austin before SXSW and would be very keen for some suggestions on how I should fill my time.

Am heading to SF in Feb. Does anyone have any good accommodation recommendations (hostels, airbnb) for the Mission district?

Canberra, help me find something to do!

flukazoid said 2 days ago: It's that time of year again ... in town from the 2nd to the 7th. What's going to be good? Gigs especially, but also art exhibits, new food places, fun stuff, all the usual.

Coffee-wise, I'm not sure if Lonsdale St Roasters on Lonsdale St in Braddon and Two Before Ten on Marcus Clarke St in Civic have been mentioned yet? Both are probs worth a visit if you're hanging around the city at all. Both are also closed on Sundays.

In addition to my post for Haff above, both the Gorman House Markets (10am - 3pm) and the farmers market at EPIC ('Exhibition Park in Canberra') (starts early and begins to die out at around 9am) are worth a look on Saturdays.
