itchy, bruisey and kinda lumpy still. i ended up doing nothing in boston, could barely make it through the lunch meeting having been up since 3.30am and also losing my only scarf in a taxi. flying to austin today, warmer climes await!

also, anyone got recommendations for boston? i'm being taken out to lunch but then the rest of the day is free. must sees?

last night in new york. have had a GREAT time here, really enjoyed pretending going to work and like i actually live here. didn't see any bands here, just plenty of catching up with wonderful friends, having great meals, lots of meetings and oh yeah, almost 5 straight hours of karaoking on saturday night in koreatown. i'm almost all sung out! (but not quite) oh yeh and the stitches came out last night - bloody expensive! and it looks kinda gnarly still.

tonight! part 2 of the live special featuring incredible sets from Why? live on dublab, Bon Iver and the Dodos and Wye Oak on Daytrotter. top stuff and a great chance to get know some of the bands that'll be over in summer. runoutgroove, here's your chance to hear some Bon Iver!

oh because i failed to get them myself! totally forgot about the rush of buying syd fest tickets...

just because you guys haven't heard of him doesn't make him jack johnson sheesh! actually he's been a bit of a pitchdork darling for a while. i think the story goes, he self released his debut album last year, which got lavishly praised by pitchfork and then it was re-released by secretly canadian. 2ser has played it a fair bit earlier in the year, as did even triple j and in fact just in the past tape relay, i played a whole bloody live set of his!

well i did ask the paramedics to take me into the hospital via the back entrance. no paparazzi shots and all.

btw there's plenty of decent coffee to be found around the south congress area, such as Jo's. it's not the greatest but drinkable espresso. the trick is to ask for a double short latte (or, a double shot latte in a short cup) to get the equivalent of a flatwhite
