Anyone want to sell me some ticekt? Pretty please?

I took a tab of acid that had Betty Boop on it last weekend, it was really average to the same size, same price tab i took a couple of weekends ago, which had a rainbow on it. Im not an expert in this stuff, but these tabs were the same size and price, yet they had completely different effects, one was way more intense. Do different pictures mean they are stronger/weaker? I probably got ripped off.

A little obsessed? Oh, and i have a friend who donates money to PETA. I was talking to him about it yesterday, he told me i should donate too, and I hadn't heard much about the organisation. I just thought it was really interesting.

I never claim to be an expert on PETA, i have just recently started reading about them. I am aware that terrorism is a very loose term, someone commiting acts of terrorism can be referred to as a freedom fighter by others. I am just trying to highlight and make sense of what all these PETA people say, i am constantly reading things they say and coming across contradictions. I cannot make sense of how they can live lives completely free of animal abuse.

I have looked at both sides of the story, there seems to be alot of information out there. Perhaps some of what i have been reading is just as much extremeist and generalised as what PETA propoganda is.

The information that i just posted, although is might be out of context, I think it still adequatley highlights some of the hipocracy in this organisation.Most of it speaks for itself, althoght we DONT have a cure for cancer, we DO have treatments, we DO have insulin for diabetes which Mary Sweetland uses. PETA oppose these treatmets, how much percent of its $13 million budget actually goes towards research for alternative treatments free of animal testing?

I cant get my head around someone saying that ''the life of an ant and that of my child should be granted equal consideration.'' I think their extremist views are getting in the way of things they can really be doing to benefit the animal abuse. Instead of using attention grabbing propoganda, spending money on stupud billboards with celebrities half naked, which just furthers peoples hate towards their organisation, they should be setting up more shelters, donating to vets, offering money for alternative treatments of cancer, AIDS, diabetes.

No, i've been in hospital for a month and a half.

The matter is, i just can't see how these people can be living day to day lives. I can see links, direct or indirect, to things i do/have every single day (i know im not a member of PETA) that is harming animals in a way. You cant tell me that all PETA members are 100% behind animal rights, its almost impossible. Some actual facts-

Recent beneficiaries of animal testing are breast cancer patients who have been prescribed the drug Herceptin, which was developed using mice. So are more than 70% of Nobel prize winners in the fields of physiology and medicine.

PETA: We have been researching cancer for decades, using animal experiments. Do we have a cure for cancer? Of course we don't.

''I'm an insulin-dependent diabetic. Twice a day I take synthetically manufactured insulin that still contains some animal products -- and I have no qualms about it ... I'm not going to take the chance of killing myself by not taking insulin. ''

PETA on targeting children:

Okay this is just a rant, but...

PETA views animals on the same ethical plane as humans, meaning 10 rats lives hold the same worth as 10 human lives. PETA's slogan is ''animals are not ours to eat, wear, experiment on, or use for entertainment.''

They oppose all animal testing; this can be the testing of make-up right through to all pharmaceutical testing. In saying this, they would rather their own mother die of cancer than find a treatment using testing on a rat or an ape. They, wrongly, argue that testing is irrelevant and pointless, the president of PETA states “[Even if animal research produced a cure for AIDS], we'd be against it..” They liken animal testing to tests done on Jews in Nazi Germany.

Whilst PETA can highlight animal cruelties, they expose a scientist that is torturing animals and a slaughterhouse that is skinning pigs alive, they then argue that ALL slaughterhouses and scientists are like these sick. They show the most sickening images of a very few individuals — images and acts that most of us would condemn outright — and try to argue that everyone is doing this, and therefore no one can eat meat, wear leather, use animals to find a cure for AIDS, or any other use of animals except to use them in their videos to get people to send them money. It’s similar to saying that because some parents molest their kids, some sick individuals, no one should be allowed to have children. They are using very isolated incidents to manipulate peoples sympathies and create false propaganda. PETA disapproves of even the slaughterhouses that are killing animals correctly, yet recommends euthanasia for certain breeds of animals.

I am a starving man in Africa, can I kill an animal to feed my family? No. Can I test a potentially life saving drug on an animal before my mother? No. Can I have a pet dog? No.

Finally, what pisses me off is how contradictory PETA is. They say they are against testing, I doubt you would find someone that would say “Wait, doctor, before you give me that insulin, I would love to know if it was tested on an animal?” How many would think twice before taking a Panadol to cure their headache. Furthermore, what is their stance on plants and the environment in general? What about living in their comfy energy consuming homes and the exhaust from their cars, accelerating global warming and resulting in deaths of animals? What about the clothing they buy from factories that deplete forests and thus harm animals? Don’t get in a boat, the pollution harms marine life. What about the pesticides that are used in making your lovely vegan dinner that ran off into a waterway and killed some fish? Free trade kills animals too.

Stupid? Ignorant? Discussssssssssss.
