Hello -

Brooklyn-based singer-songwriter Holly Miranda returns with her mesmerising indie-pop and unleashes her eerie vocals this January.
Formerly of The Jealous Girlfriends, Miranda’s debut solo album, The Magician’s Private Library, earned praise from Vanity Fair, Dazed and Confused and The New York Times, as well as NME likening it to “leafing through a box of old photographs”. Produced by TV On The Radio’s Dave Sitek, the album be...ars his trademark stormy layers to strings, bells and horns, combined with Miranda’s arresting falsetto to create songs laden with atmosphere.
Drawing comparisons to Jeff Buckley and Cat Power, Miranda creates dreamy, otherworldly songs with effortless cool and charming on-stage modesty. With fans including Kanye West and Scarlett Johansson, Miranda was last in Sydney for Vivid LIVE 2010, a festival curated by Lou Reed and Laurie Anderson at Sydney Opera House.
For her second visit to Australia Miranda will be joined on stage by her 3-piece band, showcasing material from one of the most enthralling records of 2010.
“She's a bona-fide singer-songwriter who can and will simply sell a song around just her voice and the sound of an acoustic guitar” Pitchfork

TUJIKO NORIKO - AUSTRALIA TOUR 2010
Following releases on the infamous Mego label, Japan's Tujiko Noriko has captured imaginations with her wildly esoteric songs. An electronic chanteuse of the highest order, she has carved out a unique sonic universe in which beautifully melodic passages collide with eruptions of digital abrasion and disarmingly coy wordplay.
On her most recent album 'U', Tujiko Noriko strikes out at a new sound,... rich in deep bass, pulsing rhythms and emotive hot flushes of harmony. Pitchfork remarked of the album, ''...magic ...it rests right at the nexus point of song and sculpture, pop and experiment''. Inspired by the success of U, Noriko travels to Australia and is joined for the first time by her collaborators Lawrence English and John Chantler.
These will be the very first concerts in Australia by the Tujiko Noriko Trio, who have previously performed in both the UK and EU. promise to be an entirely compelling and beguiling lull into Tujiko Noriko's song cosmos.
