righto, i resigned from my job today (HOORAY!) and got myself a fancy pants new one.

my old work is just about to dole out bonuses based on the past financial years performance. they may also be based partially on what you will be able to accomplish in the next year as well. i have a feeling that my work will try and stiff me on mine, which would have been around 3k or so i think. so i'm wondering what my legal position is on this? i have looked at my contract and all it says in regards to the ''incentive scheme'' is:

''The Employee will participate fully in the company bonus scheme which will be introduced for the financial year ending June 2005. The terms and conditions of the company bonus scheme will be determined and modified at the discretion of the Board, but will be based on company, team and personal performance versus Key performance indicators.''

the bit that has me worried is the ''modified at the discretion of''.

so lawyers - can you help me? give me any advice on my legal position. normally i'd walk away and not care, but i'm moving to a monthly salary and this is going to kill me financially for the first 6 weeks or so. so the extra cash will certainly help out!

it was more of a ''what the fuck?'' at the piece of crap that she wrote. took about 5 mins i bet.

hmmm i just worked out that i'd get 14 weeks if we got 4 weeks notice + 4 weeks for years worked (almost 3), equaling enough money to pay out all my debts in entirety and send me overseas for 2 -3 months at the least.
