Graphic design seems to be just eye candy. Jobs a plenty, but, other than helping out the advertisers sell a product, I see no advantage to the general community.

Ever read a book? Opened a magazine? What about when you're in your car, had to look at some road signs? Or public transport, ever had to look at the map on the wall to find out where you're going? Ever had to read an instruction manual to put something together? This website you're on, finding it easy to navigate around? Or the mac or PC you're on right now, you able to use that ok?

Things like 'cowards', 'miserable lives' and 'evil' all depend on your point of view, and newspapers are supposed to be unbiased.
