Yeah it was super safe...it wasnt a murder investigation though...the police had publically appealled for information regarding a missing person as they would here in australia.
For the record, as of 2000 in Australia ''around 30 000 people are reported missing in Australia every year. At a rate of one person every 18 minutes and 1.55 people per 1000, this rate exceeds the total number of victims reported to the police for homicide, sexual assault and unarmed robbery.''
Do you expect the same level of police resources and media scrutiny for every one of those 30,000 people who go missing in this country?
It was on the news the police appealled for anybody who may have had information, they committed resources to investigating the situation.
Unfortunately, not all countries have the resources, technology or priorities we have when it comes to crime.
Nope croatian police and journalists mainly just place dominoes until one of these pops up
would a murder even rate a mention in MX?
Its weird how australians expect the croatian media and police to throw every resource at this one case of a girl going missing as if disappearance/suicide/accidents/murders dont happen daily.
I was in dubrovnik a few days after this girl disappeared. It did get a run on the main news, but it wasnt frontpage news like it seemingly has been in Oz.
I gotta say, this place was super supersafe...most of the visitors were middle aged to retirees, it wasnt a crazy party place like mykinos or ibiza. I was walking around with my camera at 3am on my own no problems.
It seemed like the club she went to was the only real party place in the area, the lady that owned the guesthouse we stayed in even recommended it and said it was the only happening spot in the area.
We went to a few jazz bars and stuff but they were nothing, hardly anybody there as it was shoulder season.
Is there any plans to bring the body back to australia for an independent autopsy?
Cmon kevvie arnold defend the system, reassure all the working ''mums and dads'' you do good things for that their hard earned cash will grow and multiply for them.
This is a pissweak system, it relies on mindless consumerism to stay afloat.
Hi just sayin Kev, manthe markets are looking good eh? Pumping all that paper into the system has done alot of good
