Where's the best area in London to live?

dont worry about junkies and or suburbia, if you are in a housing-development area full of junkies stabbing each other then walk for 15 mins in any direction and you will probably then be in sickly sweet yuppie-filled suburbia.

Thats a big brush your painting with re: brondesbury road - while I agree with you to an extent (all the massive 100 people in a flat shares around brondesbury rd are decreasing as property value rises), you might as well keep painting with that brush in a big crescent from clapham to to sw to w to nw all the way around to shoreditch. As I see the same regarding antipodes all over. But thats just me and im not a very perceptive person

London Calling - new era

Kilburn / NW6 is fine. I actually like it. - has the same issues as any other place in london. One street good, one street rubbish, one street good, one street rubish. Few good bars (relatively speaking) - good frequent all night buses into west end / soho and up to camden etc etc.

Ps (with all due respect due) - don't listen to heb regarding nw6 / queens park whatever being loaded with backpackers. They are (we?) are fucking everywhere in london. Might as well move to essex if that is a part of your rationale - and queens park is a wonderful park to sit and drink in on a sunny day. Even has a pet farm. atleast if you live near that park (which could be expensive) you atleast get a sense of escaping the bustle.

London - any ideas?

Last time I went back to Australia there were all these bars full of jerks, I would advise anyone to not goto these bars when you go back to Australia. Common sense man.

If you ukelelele then ask these people for tips on gigs http://www.dukeofuke.co.uk/

also - Im so so confused now. Do I have to stay away from all expats ? Am I allowed to goto authorised venues if they are featuring bands that include expats ? What if I want to go see a wonderful gig but there are expats in the audience? I assume its a more black and white proposition if the band has no expats but the crowd has expats ? Are their certain tube lines I shouldn't frequent because of a high gep (gross expat product) ? Should prob get all the rules listed down in this here thread so I don't find myself in the unenviable position of socialising with expats.

best, confused
