The Host is coming out in cinemas early March. The Nova in Carlton will screen it & I sure as hell hope that the Westgarth Cinema have the guts to screen it.

I reckon this is awesome. I cannot stop laughing when I see the news reports & related clips. This is the funniest thing since the Borat movie. I honestly think it is great & I believe that Brett may be following in George Lazenby's steps & could possibly oust Daniel Craig as the next bond.

Sorry, littlerach? Do you disagree with scissor's potential as frontenigma to 2nds mighty rythmn machine? Or did you perhaps want to take 2nds in a different direction, yourself? : ) I've often thought of Tone "Ryobi San" Rizza as a potential frontenigma. That guy is, as yet, untapped genius.

When George W. went into Iraq looking for..whatever...I knew that it would be the same as "'Nam" and by that I mean that an 'easy victory' would turn into a long drawn out war with significant armed casualties & mind-bogglingly astronomical civilian casualties.

Sometimes, now, I believe that on both occassions many moving & shaking minds knew that they(US forces) would 'lose' the war but that the heavy 'residue' of their presence, ie, the emotional, mental, & physical scarring of the land & it's people, in both countries, was the seed required to eventually open these areas up to long-term western influence - you know, via infrasctructure & market rebuilding, & via continued medical assistance - which very, very slowly BUT very surely cements western'ised' ideals into the framework of the country.

What will Johnny W. do? I can't stand talking rationally about the prick but if the US forces withdraw then Johhny W. will withdraw. He won't withdraw beforehand. Another PM would withdraw Australian troops sooner.

WITHDRAWING BEFORE YOU'VE INSERTED YOUR SEED

What will happen if the Coalition troops withdraw? Will more people die than if the troops stay? Purely HYPOTHETICAL to me. How can I judge the middle eastern mind & it's sense of justice when I feel that my own country's moral compass has it's head in the sand?

HOW CAN THE COALITION TROOPS ACTUALLY WIN THE 'WAR'?

You can't beat an armed people, whatever their internal dysfunction, in their own backyard.

The COALITION will stay there for 1 year or, at worst, 4 years longer. There will be more destruction of infrastructure, & more deaths of civilians caught in crossfire.

IN CONCLUSION:

My 'Masters of War' conspiracy view is that the job isn't quite finished & will need at least another year of Coalition troop action.

My 'I'm still a believer in Democracy' view is that you cannot ever defeat people, equipped with modern weapons, in their own backyard. "Everybody, GET OUT NOW!!"

It's only a 3 month hiatus, scissors. But during that time I'm undergoing psychotherapy & physiotherapy so 'Rad' may not be back. I am, however, the 4th frontman for this band. Shane Lee (the half-chinese guy, not the cricketer), Mark Buggy, Chad Boreanaz, Rad, ... who'll be next to fill the 2nds' frontman shoes? How are you onstage, scissors? A rock god in waiting?
