Um, for some. Most writers and journalists I've encountered are have inferior grammatical skills, yet often feel fit to condescend to me . . . I am constantly correcting/improving copy.

So don't assume, it makes an ass etc.

I went into design because I like to eat and wasn't going to be doing a lot of that as a caricaturist. Lots of graphic designers are insufferably smug, self-important wankbots. A lot of them are folks like me who just want to do a job and make things look nice.

Agree with Columbo. Most can't spell or draw, drives me nuts, being a writer and drawer . . .

I realise that what I do doesn't matter in the greater scheme of things or indeed to most people, but how many jobs/careers can you apply that to? Particularly in any field of artistic expression? And how many painters, writers, dancers, actors, musos etc are fucking dickheads?

In short, it pays the bills.
