Yep. And the post office has ATMs that take foreign cards, and they're open pretty late/on weekends. Joy.

I was surprised at how much cash I needed (ie: how many places didn't take cards) but it wasn't hugely problematic.

He's not difficult, he just is very specific about the venues he plays. I'd be surprised if he ever did an outdoors Opera House thing. State Theatre would be the best bet. He and his tour manager line stuff up themselves, too.

It was almost certain that he'd be down, about six-seven years ago? But they couldn't get one of the venues he wanted on a certain day and so... didn't happen.

Back to festival, I suspect I'll miss out on the good stuff as I don't have any cash until payday, a fortnight away. But I am taking part in that drumming thing on Macquarie street in the first night, so that'll have to do.
