i think it's like meta-2.0. tracks music use and ups it to other social media, though i quite like listening to friends' radio stations too.

i haven't been using because my hard drive fell over.

technology's moving on

i'm checking this out at the moment. my old recorder's done its time. want recordings for radio broadcast, but also print stories. mostly voice/interviews i guess. anyone using these for that kind of thing?

the more stuff that's out there, the more people want/need a trusted filter. i didn't grow up with radio national, for example, but i listen to it every morning and i podcast a few of their regular programs that i never managed to get the timing right for before.

getting bleepy said 47 minutes ago: Looking forward to this tonight. I have fond memories of seeing them in Perth in '88. They were LOUD and also good. They played for about 45 minutes then leant their guitars against their amps and walked off as the feedback continued. The crowd hung around for quarter of an hour applauding/cheering/shouting angrily, but there was no encore. It all seemed very rock 'n' roll at the time.

i heard they did the same in sydney, but only 15 minutes in, and people rioted. couldn't have been more different from last night's bored, disinterested, just doing it for the money show if they'd tried. in fact it seemed at times like the sparkling, wonderful songs were fighting to get through the patina of boredom.
