I don't think that's a good enough sign, but yes, word on the Canberra street (so to speak) is that it's Labor.
I really can't see how it could be any other way, given their much-vaunted desire for ''stability''. Given the Greens balance of power in the Senate from next July for a start, and Labor's stronger position now seat-wise.

Warren Ellis is lame and makes Nick even lamer than he's been getting anyway.

Whilst the lyrics may be less imaginative than before, the music has gotten pretty damn formulaic.

I liked him better before he became PM.

Bugger. It didn't like that, did it!
Cave is both a rampant misogynist and an arch-snob but it’s actually his snobbery that bothers me more – or rather, the way that his snobbery, amplified and encouraged by others, lends to his misogyny an air of respectability, as if it were something to be admired. Like many women, I have a troubled relationship with the sexism and, yes, misogyny that continues to shape popular music. On the one hand I abhor it and it makes me tired and angry; on the other I love plenty of artists whose sexual politics could at best be described as dubious. Cave was once among them.

Ex-chat Anwyn Crawford on Nick Cave. It's a pretty amazing article.

It's everything from after Shivers (sorry) (actually quite like Door, Door) up to Let Love In, excluding The fucking Ship Song, or thereabouts.
