Actually I'm pretty excited to see Chris Cunningham AV show and OFWGKTA - that's going to be mental... and not that I will go see them this time, but Cut Copy's new album is brilliant... can't stop listening to it.. When I was in NYC last, all anybody could talk to me about is ''oh you're from Australia, fuck I love Cut Copy''..

and last time I saw Tame Impala - they were so so so good.

Anyways.. does this mean I am the only one going then? good, maybe I can get some good tickets.

18 people in the touring crew???? What's the chances the venue got stitched up for a massive guarantee / rider and the bar owner was blowing off steam after losing a bunch if cash? Not condoning his behaviour, just reading between the lines....

Here's some facts. Actually 15 in the touring party - miscount - the bar tab was $300 in total, with $7 per beer, it was around $20 per person for the rider. With around 3 beers each, people were tipsy, but far from drunk.

reform was never gonna happen, and never will.

As I replied earlier in thread - calling for boycott was extreme - Considering the type of venue as well - never gonna happen. But making an example of this behaviour is a good thing - regardless if it was male or female - this isn't a massive 'oh woe I'm a girl' thing - it's common decency. Alot of people have nailed it in this thread.

As for accepting this kind of shitty behaviour in life - you can accept it if it happens to you - own decisions! But if someone doesn't want to accept the behaviour, then there should be no issue with wanting to do this - at all.

Just on the feminism thing - As for being 'emotionally destroyed' - I believe Susie was alluding to the idea that this has happened before - to her, and others, and sometimes it just hits breaking point. max bulk nailed his/her point.

I talk to alot of females in high positions in music industry - not just girls who are booking your local 200 person venue, or door bitching, or playing in smaller bands - I tend to find these environments fairly free of sexism - it's usually your mates, or mates friends, and everyone is normally pretty cool. But when you talk to people who are doing things like stage managing award shows, or event managing huge festivals - or tour managing international artists and acts - these ladies ALL agree, it can be a super shitty world out there for girls BECAUSE they are girls. I'm not the only one that has been reduced to tears in the middle of a working environment because of this type of situation - and yes - I usually 'man up' and deal with it non emotionally 90% of the time.

I should add - some people think this happened to me - it didn't. I am just posting it because I think it's outrageous. Also - google away - Susie is nowhere near fat. or ugly. What a massif spunk on the drums I say.
