Data Recovery software? Reformatted memory card...

Comment I Made 23 days ago

that’s better then 100%. the new photos will have written to free space on the memory card. reformatting the card makes space previously taken up by the old photos free again for use. Unfortunatly photos as a data type are very sensitive to data loss (if a couple of bits and bites of an old photo were recycled the whole image ends up being lost) so you may end up losing more then the 20-30 photos you took today.

you can definitely recover these photos. all the data is still there as long as you haven’t been using the card subsequent to the reformatting (this will overwrite the old photos).

you'll need to use data recovery software. I did this a few years ago but i cant recall the name of the software i used but if you surf the internet there are plenty of freeware PC applications out there (its a bit harder if you have a Mac). i found that they can very in their effectiveness so download a couple of different ones.

Sennheiser Headphones/General Headphones

Depends on the size of your head. They're comfy for me.

i did just admit to breaking the headbands of two sets of cans

for the price akg 518 are pretty good - for comfort and a sturdy build you need to start looking at + $200 headphones.

i'd second untold/animals' suggestion - sennheiser hd 25sp

make that ''i looked at the akg 518's a few years ago''

I looked at these a few years ago after snapping the headbands of two consecutive pairs of headphones (Technics RP-DJ1200 and then the RP-DH1200s - neither of which i would recommend) and thought the headband looked a little brittle.

also the akg 518 don’t have a great reputation for comfort, which is surprising given that akg's studio headphones are some of the most comfortable you can buy.
