cliches and wankery galore to be found here!
timewaster said 5 hours ago:Ah, Johnny Zero, you knobhead. You don't know the real story...
timewaster, you mean your side of the story? what i do know is you are a jaded, bitter, twisted, coulda, shoulda, woulda but didn't ''musician'' that now spends his time taking shots at anything and anybody who appears to be achieving more than you ever did, have or could. the only respite from this is when you are hopelessly name dropping. that is THE real story

No, the worst is when bands such up to their big-name producer.
'' We loved his work with (insert name). It was such an honour to work with him. He's the man!''.
...even better is when the band credits a producer on their record, uses the said producers name on all press releases etc, then the said producer publicly denies they produced the record!
Reverberation Distribution - are they still around?

somehow they have seemed to salvage their inhouse label from the collapse
Memorandum Recordings is an Australian record label dedicated to conserving and archiving important Australian sounds from the brink. It is the inhouse archival imprint for Sydney Distributor, Reverberbation, and reflects the director's keen interest in Australia's rich (and often overlooked) musical past.
I always wondered why Fuse would employ ex-Reverberation staff and risk damaging their reputation? Perhaps all this has only come to light after Fuse bought Reverberation? I guess only those involved know the details.
may i direct you to this infamous quote, should answer your question. ''The music business is a cruel and shallow money trench, a long plastic hallway where thieves and pimps run free, and good men die like dogs. There's also a negative side''

Reverberation is an Australian independent record label distributor. It helps distribute records from independent overseas records labels such as Alternative Tentacles and Eyeball Records, and also for small record labels such as Love Police Records and their own label Reverberation.
Reverberation was started in 2003 by Russell Hopkinson (You Am I) and Ian Underwood (The Kryptonics).

Goodbye EMI?

News have had their shot at owning record labels here, with Festival and Mushroom, and it never added much if anything to their bottom line.
quite the contrary. it all turned to shite when all the multinationals were buying labels festival once distributed and they were left with dregs.

a movie about ''punk'' getting caught up in the corporate greed of the bands publishers and record companies. can make a movie about making the movie to fund the movie!
