Maybe this may fit under the banner of unique rather than 'strange and unusual'. I was, I guess thinking of artists that I cant really pick up on an obvious reference point. I emphasize 'I', as I'm sure that others can pick those reference points. Additionally I will say they fit some aesthetic that I sympathise with.
