Coming sometime this year will be an album of ''covers'' of Smog tracks by Stephan Mathieu and Sylvain Chauveau. Should be pretty special.

His new album is due shortly too. I still haven't caught up with Holly yet. Like Heinrich, a tour would be great in 2012.

I've had that problem too Blake. Most of the Domino stuff is also available through Norman Records so they're another option once those reissues are actually out.

I've already spent some time checking out the End of an Ear website, thanks for the heads up on that in the other thread. Shame there doesn't seem to be too much on of interest gig wise while I'm there. I'll email you about other stuff.

Went to dinner at The Boathouse, Glebe last week. I've been there a few times in the past but the quality during this last visit was top notch. Next to Flying Fish, this is probably my favourite top end place to eat.

A bunch of really great stuff on the 99c rack at JB HiFi Parramatta yesterday. Sun, Machine Translations, Crayon Fields, Laura Jean, Piklet, Stereolab, Four Tet and a bunch of other local and overseas stuff.

I'm off to Austin next month, looking for an updated list of things to check out. Best coffee & best record store (particularly stocking more experimental stuff) is pretty essential. Any tips?

Some of trafficsounds' advice in this thread has already been useful but those posts are now 3 years old.

You're right Alec M, most of those have been in print at Drag City EXCEPT the vinyl pressing of Lost Blues (which typically goes for a bomb on ebay). I can't wait to grab a copy.
