I spotted these grubby two-dollar mormons door-to-door busking in my street last week.

And a twist of Wavves and The Vines. Wonder how monotonous that voice could get by about two songs into the LP? I'm unsure if my preference is for contrived or inadvertant lo-fi. And I'm unsure which this is. But my hunch is the latter. Not that I would know.

Do you have other musical things you do on the side? Yeah, definitely. I’m always working on other stuff. I’ve got a few things on the go now. They kind of all ground to a halt while we were trying to record the album.

Pretty self-serious band. Pretty aloof band. I get the impression WE'RE supposed to work hard to like THEM (which I don't remotely). Although this song's nice except for the embarassingly flacid lyrics. They're gonna hang on like a stubbornly-fading shit stain on moth-eaten jocks aren't they? Please, somebody, expose the transparency of their nothing-to-see-here-guys-move-right-along (but don't actually really) schtick.

It just occurred to me then that an empowering way to address depression is to rename it and see how it affects your attitude towards it. It's a cumbersome fucker of a word that is inherently depressing even just to say. Thank you, good night.
