Really pisses me off when bands play too loud, what are they trying to prove?

Loudest was some drumnbass show at the Hi-Fi (Andy C?) - I have never experienced anything like it... stayed through it because I was having a good time, but had hearing loss for days after and ringing for over week. pretty sure I have permanent damage from it. what a waste.

I remember Bad Religion at the Palace in 97 (and other shows there during this period) were stupidly loud, but I was quite young and likely just being a pussy.

And most recently I saw Panda Bear/Sonic Boom at the Masonic Temple in Brooklyn. Apart from being boring/shit, it was disgustingly loud with nauseating freq's... did not add to the music at all, was just utter shit. walked out after about 30 mins. They were also seemingly attempting to blind the crowd by pointing a powerful light directly into the audience. You're not Whitehouse fellas...

Sunn O)))/Boris at HiFi really was not that loud, in my opinion.

I don't get the 'garage' labeling of this band. live they sound like pop-punk. would've gone down a treat with the kids supporting lagwagon in the late 90's.
