alright, i've reserved my judgement until now, but i'll give it a crack.

for a guy who can play so many different characters, lilley is sure as hell a one-trick pony. after watching a couple of episodes of we can be heroes on the weekend it has come to my attention just how weak this show is. there are sprinklings of the ole' lilley magic here and there - he actually had me empathising with daniel in the final scene in dunt and i must admit, gran is a charmer - but it feels tired and formulaic. i suppose it's disappointing in the fact that i feel that lilley is a really rare comedic talent; we can be heroes is brilliant. i forgot how good it was until i watched some again. i wish he would have pushed the envelope a little further this time, he's really capable of it.

i think the worst thing i heard tonight was when the commentator said 'jack watts has been competitive tonight.' fuckkkennn condescending.

of course, melbourne fans would probably take 'competitive' from him at the moment..
