I'd love to have a listen to that one! They played the next night at the Corner Hotel, but I missed it as my band had a gig at the Arthouse. Funny too, our support on the night at the Arthouse was a little known band playing their first show...Augie March.

...meaning, very quick to get a hold of and sample new music, before committing to buying it.

If I'm buying music, i'd rate it in the following heirachy due to the tone charater of the recorded music :

LP > CD > CAS > MP3

Of course, that is inverse to the convenience of the format. i.e. it's pretty damn hard to listen to an LP on a tram. MP3 is rubbish, but you can digest a lot more music in that format. You could add MD to the list, but pretty much nothing was released on it. It's still a primary location recording medium for me though.

I still use all five formats in one way or the other. You have to choose your weapon to suit.

Here's a tip now. Load up on quality cassette decks on ebay while they are cheap. I've got a couple of Tascam 112 machines. Excellent quality $50 each.

one day i would like to unleash the 650+ live recordings i have of local bands, but i fear my server would overload!

first time in 13.5 years for me today. pretty much all good....other than two impacted wisdom teeth! the most amount of pain getting those out will be the $2k out of pocket expenses.

got the referal!! two impacted which means a general. much relieved i don't have to witness the event.

ok, so what's the process here to get it done? i reckon i need all four out, and i'm hanging for a general anaesthetic. they're ace! can you simply go to the the dentist, get a few xrays and get a referral? i don't want some dentist to say ''i'll have a go''. had that before with an ingrown toenail. most pain ever in my life. i have health insurance too.
