I had a funny dream last night that involved such and such a chat, but I can't remember it now. Darn. It was a good one!

I guess most of the time people in their thirties and beyond meet new people through friends, and yes, through shared activities and interests. It's not such a bad thing to meet people over the internet these days, but you'd probably prefer to do it in an organic way - like through friends on Twitter or whatever - than a dating site (or Mess+Noise), at least for the time being.

It always strikes me as interesting how people behave differently as individuals as they grow older. I think a lot of it has to do with what your peers are doing, what you all have time for, and what you're interested in. Many people feel too tired to muster the effort to talk to new people as they have myriad other responsibilities.
