Recent projects include the Brianstorm video from the Arctic Monkeys and site-specific installations and performance for the Victoria & Albert Museum and the Tate Modern in London.

Evolving technologies have fundamentally changed the means by which music and sound are published and distributed both locally and internationally.

Online performance, digital web distribution and audio / video streaming have opened up new opportunities for self publication and promotion while introducing new dangers for artists of giving it away for free.

Hear from independent labels, A&R and legal experts and artists on the evolution of the music industry - that has forever changed the way that we consume sound.

An absolutely disgraceful decision by the Essendon Board - also why lie to everyone stating that Kevin's future would be discussed at the next meeting ~1 month away.

How can anyone take what they say now seriously?

For a bunch of people with supposedly so much business expertise where is the well thought out succession strategy?

Can a thorough review be now undertaken of the Board - as it is clearly apparent they are not delivering to the level that is required.

Furthermore with their weak approach to handle this matter - collectively they are seriously damaging the brand of the club.

Again their business acumen needs to be questioned.

I believe a plan that could have been undertaken - that would accommodate a succession plan and celebrate the contribution Sheedy has made to Essendon and football - is as simple as follows:

  1. To have signed Kevin Sheedy to a new firm 3 year deal - which would take him to 2010 - on the strict understanding that 2010 would be his exit year;
  2. To have recruited people to the football department for 2008 onwards in key assistant roles - such as Nathan Buckley - who could be groomed as a possible senior coach replacement.
  3. For example if it was Buckley - then develop his coaching skills set throughout 2008 & 2009 - with him stepping up to the match day role in 2010 - with Sheedy as the ''yoda'' of the Coaching Department.
  4. Ponder for a moment if points 1-3 had been undertaken - and imagine the marketing opportunities for Essendon of a well thought and strategic plan of celebrating Kevin Sheedy - 30 years in 2010.

The Board with this weak decision has now cost Essendon a multi-million dollar marketing and branding opportunity.

Can they please hand in their resignations - effective immediately.

hey slothman - are you sure you're not thinking of kepler [esp. kicking to opposition] :-)

regularly go to bombers games and when cj plays he is never in our worst performed players ...

plus bt reckons he has some of the best dukes in the biz :-)

personally i think he adds physicality to the side - which is what is seriously needed - similar to what the johnsons et al did when they started ... is good for players like monfries etc to know that cj is there to help look after them ...

is great to see passionate bombers fans on m&n ...

c'mon - cj is great ... he's played less than 30 games and has far more potential than kepler ... apparently his stints in bendigo bombers has seen him playing at chb ... and by all reports doing pretty well ... plus he's pretty accurate from 50+ which is always good ... plus he's a medical miracle ...!
