Satisfaction are holding another night at Bar Broadway, with deejays playing the likes of The Kinks, The Small Faces, the Rolling Stones, the Pretty Things, The Spencer Davis Group, The Yardbirds, The Easybeats, The Creation, The Action, The Who, and any other 60's records we feel inclined to put on (quite possibly Lulu and the Luvvers, if i have my hand in things).

It costs a grand total of $5, and theres band's playing too - Pip Star and Red Sun, and The Ashburys. Doors open 8pm. Go on, you know it makes sense !

i seem to be both hungover & having a really good day. if thats the standard after-effects of seeing the laurels, ill gladly do it again.

at the show in 95, they came on stage to a projection of stills from their own clips, the rolling stones & a clockwork orange. remember that being rather good.

what are the Reids up to nowadays ?

Apparently they had 150 payers through the door (+ freebie scammers & randoms who snuck in), which in my books counts as a big success. My favourite moment - filling the dancefloor to Lulu & the Luvvers 'I'll come running over'.

ive seen some pretty skanky pigeons flying around central, and i cant promise you they dont roost round bar broadway.

The thought occurs to me, in nature documentarys on tv, i dont think ive ever seen birds going for it. Presumably they do.

djs Dandy & KB have got the Beatles bits and bobs all lined up. Myself, im gonna be contrary and play a lot of 60's stones, the pretty things, and fuzzy freakbeat oddities. Its gonna be groovy !
