Regarding comments on Hourly Daily dropping in quality towards the end, I only had the album on cassette for a long time, sounds great as a two sided album rather than on the cd format. Love both albums, but Hourly just wins hands down, falling asleep listening to it on my sanyo walkman so many times might have left a mark.

Nice Ben! Where did you get the neck?!
Have a look at this guitar, they built it around a Kramer aluminium neck, made by the dude from Bone so he should have a good understanding where you are coming from muscially, 2012 Guitars.
You could even have a look at mini humbuckers, I have one in the neck position of my tele and it sounds amazing.
