..oh, and they don't live very long. From a few months up to a couple of years generally...hell of a lot of effort involved.

They are cannibals as well so two in a tank might not be a good idea.

..amazing creatures. Very endearing too.

I too have long wanted to have a couple in a tank...not a simple task unfortunately.

I made my first attempt to catch octopuses on the weekend...i can still hear them laughing at my efforts as they destroyed the rig I was trying to use.

it is a very skilful pursuit by both handler and bird...good luck finding a) a bird (not sure if they have to be captive-bred here or can be taken from the wild b) someone to train you.
