sound was very disappointing last night ... kandos' rant was totally on the money -- it's a sonic youth show the guitars should rip you in half from any position in the room, biggest disappointment was the complete lack of any form of defined bottom end ... Steve Shelley does loads of really awesome tom work which was just lost in the flub ..

then to the bar ... when presented with the options (corona or VB) I ordered two coronas .. I was then asked for $19!!!!!!

hey if it's any help and one of your dead drives is an old Lacie D2 80gb (with WD drive) I can probably help you out with a drive controller board -- I have an old 80gb WD drive that came out of a lacie d2 chassis that got destroyed by an absent minded assistant who somehow managed to plug the firewire cable in upside down destroying the firewire controller in the case

I do have a very strong love/hate list too:

HATE: Nate (from season 3 on), Keith (until season 4), Russell (OH HOW I FUCKING HATE HIM), Gabe

LOVE: Claire (until she went to college), Olivier (when he was going out with Brenda's mum), Arthur!, Ruth's sister and Kathy Bates (can't remember her character's name), David (some patchy moments though)

NEITHER HATE nor LOVE: Frederico, Brenda, Billy, Ruth

I still reckon the David getting carjacked and the suicide one (was that all series 5?) were the most full on episodes i've seen
