Haven't posted here for a long time but saw this thread. There's a bunch of video footage here by some guy from mid-late 80s of varying quality (both visually and musically) but thought it might be of interest.
Busby, this includes footage of Subsonic Barflys who did record a 7'' that I don't own, but remember from many years ago. About '86 or '87. Can't remember the name of it.
As for the Hombres, apparently yes they did record a 12'' ep. Some info and pix here
Milne: Tote’s Closure Is ‘Wake-Up Call’

It's been a while since I have logged in here. There's nothing I can really add to the outpouring of emotion and opinions that have gone with this situation, but I would just like to say that I will be very sad to see the Tote go and will definitely pay my respects over the weekend. The world needs more Bruce Milnes.

He'll be sorely missed.
I remember meeting him and chatting with him in the deep dark early hours at The Doulton Bar about 5 years ago and he'd just formed the Love Addicts.
What struck me about him was the way he moved when he talked. His shoulders rolled with every enthusiastic detail about his new band – all told through a cheshire grin.
For a guy who'd seen and done so much in 30-odd years without real major 'mainstream' success (though a great deal of success on so many other levels), his enthusiasm for his new band at the time, and rock and roll in general, was heartening to see.

Did coolsie hate Nirvana in the 90's?

I personally had no problem with Nirvana – In Utero is a pretty good – but they ushered in a whole slew of self-absorbed 'victim-music' like Smashing Pumpkins and a corporatised version of grunge a la pearl Jam, Stone Temple Pilots, Collective Soul and, ultimately, Nickelback.

Love 'em love 'em love 'em!
I just missed 'em at the BDO on the Gold Coast in '94 (they were on early and I had to drive from the Sunshine Coast!!!) apart from catching them close the set with a version of Alex Chilton's Free Again.
theye were great in (was it?) '97. And great a couple of years ago at the prince.
I'm more of a Grand Prix/ Songs From Northern Britain fan – they seemed to tone down the 'grunge' distortion on these records and write better tunes... though Bandwagonesque and 13 certainly have their awesomeness.

Anyone here seen 'Return To Waterloo'? Some movie Ray Davies made a few years ago. I was given it on DVD on the weekend and I haven't watched it yet.

Out In The Streets – whatta tune. Gives me goosebumps.
Cynical, Why?

Probably something we've inherited from the Brits (or more specifically, the English), who are world leaders in envy, naysaying and whinging.
Makes for great comic material though.
