I think I got him a little bit drunk.

I worry that he will feel a bit worse come the morning.

That made me smile.

I asked him if he was okay.

He said, ''Not really''.

I said, ''Would you like a drink?''

He said, ''Yes, a gin and tonic''

I ordered us both one.

We both drank a few gin and tonics and smoked cigarettes on the balcony and chatted about life in general.

He said he was having problems with his wife back in Canada. It turns out he has evidence that she is cheating on him and she doesn't know that he knows.

My advice was to let her know that he knew and to give her the opportunity to explain the evidence that he had and to go from there. I told him to pre-empt all possible responses from her and to have a response for them.

Or, do watch it but at the same time organise your make up in the bathroom and clothes in the closet, like I did.

I love scary movies but I just can't watch them, if that makes sense. I know it doesn't but, at the same time, it does in my own head.

I'm going for a quick fag and a G&T on the balcony.

I'd like some suitable responses, i.e. ones that don't involve me offering him a gobby, upon my return.

I'm in the work area - wankily known at the Business Centre - of the hotel that I am staying in.

I hopped on the computer before going to bed. There are about 3 computers all in a row, separated by wooden partitions.

There is a man openly sobbing on the computer next to me.

What do I do?

a) ignore it and talk about it on the internet - which I am currently doing
b) ask him what's wrong and if he's okay
c) order him a drink
d) mind my own damn business

Luckily, I'm in the business centre in the hotel, not in my room. So, he could well be under my bed awaiting my return. SCARY!!!

I'm going to lend you this movie when I get home, AH!

I watched the movie The Strangers yesterday.

It's pretty suspenseful.

I spent much of the time hiding behind my pillow and wandering around my hotel room just listening to it rather than watching it.

Whilst in bed last night I had to remind myself that there was no way that a man in a sack mask could be in the room with me.

Oh, and the fairy lights around Manila take my breath away. Truly amazing.
