this place is fucking surreal. everything is big, densley packed, and things are spread out over such a large area too. hot too, 30 degrees and the sun goes down at 9pm, but the extra time you gain is spent commuting between everywhere anyway. Reminds me of the gold coast to be honest, but maybe in 30-40 years time.

i have to say, learning the new systems and setting up from scratch is a pretty humbling experience, i feel like a school kid out here. getting a car and then a permanent apartment is first on the list to help stop feeling like such a goldfish in a massive pond.

speaking of, i'm off fishballs for the timebeing, i've found a string of persian, russian and armenian restaurants to keep me occupied for the time being to remind me of the motherland salivates. every ethincity out here has their own little part of town. i'm sure there is a little australia town somewhere too.

hey jp, i had planned to leave the sw disc out for you under ur door when i left but the cabbie you hear arrived 15 minutes early and i totally forgot :( customs guy smiled at it tho.

thanks for a great year (to the day oddly enough), thanks for taking me in and thanks for being just that right amount of crazy. i'm off to lalaland in a few hours and cant sleep cos im still spinning out on whats coming ahead.

I haven't had time to say hello to everyone individually too.. i've been flat out/interstate/sick/slack, but please dont think i've forgotten. the drunk nights out, random conversations and smiles will all be remembered fondly :) I'll see you all soon though, just even less in person than before..

it was a lil shaky right up till last week when visas and tickets all came together modi.. i've never even been to the us, so its all happening a little fast, a little crazy. i hope to bring a little bit of both to the dancefloor tonight.

guess what? im moving to the US next week! it only got confirmed last week and havent gotten off my arse to prepare a going away so if u know me come have a dance tonight.
