Atticus were great. My old band supported them a few times. I think a couple of them were in a band called The Templebears before they started Atticus.
Their song Lend Me An Ear got a bit of Triple J airplay back in the day and appeared on the soundtrack to an indie movie called Fresh Air that was shot around Newtown.
Hi,
Just a reminder that 2am lockout starts this weekend and will affect the whole of the Exchange Hotel including Vegas. If you want to come to Vegas from now on you'll have to get there before 2am, nobody will be allowed entry or re-entry after 2am even if you just go outside for a smoke.
As well as the lockout, from 2am the bar will not be able to serve shots, mixed drinks with more than one shot (ie doubles) and will not be able to serve alcoholic drinks for ten minutes in every hour (ie 2:00-2:10; 3:00-3:10; 4:00-4:10)
If you think this sucks check out this facebook group http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=30994334503 for info on what you can do to oppose these laws.
So I'm to DJing at a corporate event and they've asked for a few ''Bollywood type tracks''. The only stuff I have that fits the bill is that Jaan Pehechaan Ho track from The Ghostworld soundtrack and some 60s sitar stuff (Lord Sitar, Dave Pike).
Has anyone got any suggestions? I'm thinking more 'Bollywood influenced' than actual Bollywood movie soundtrack songs. Did MIA have song songs that sampled that sort of stuff?
