Apricot island

Apricot Island is a film about a girl, who raises passion and subsequent rage between two brothers. People in the neighborhood have no idea what is going on between them. Dawns and sunsets, hot summer, ripe apricots, the wide and lazily flowing Danube and love in all of its tragic and comical situations, are joined into a whole.

It is also a new band which featuring Yama Boy’s Simon. Whoo!

Avant-pop disco wannabes, there’s going to be a lot going on here. Alex (ii, oblako lodka) and Prudence may have backgrounds in experimental and classical music respectively, but these dudes have dance in the blood, pumped by hearts that beat a banging four to the floor.

Denim owl The Denim Owls play super sweet dream logic pop and have just returned from a nation wide tour where they played in giant night clubs to crowds of manly men who like to rock and sport un-ironic mullets. Thankfully they have returned unharmed, it could have been the protective magic of a pitchfork endorsement, but was probably just because THEY’RE SO AWESOME!

Royalchord Royalchord are the current jewel in Mistletone’s illustrious crown, which means that not only are they shit hot, they’ve also got the goods to back the hype. Described as ‘Incredible dream pop’ (threethousand), ‘Adventurous and engrossing’ (Music Australia Guide) and put in league with Au Revoir Simone and Batchelorette these globetrotting ladies will be jetting off again next year, so your opportunities to catch them are limited!
