one of the best things of the year for me was anything out on Futureboogie. Julio Bashmore did some cool stuff for them.

i went to aloe blacc's soundcheck last week and it was awesome. they had a new keyboard player and the bandleader/guitarist was showing him the finer points of some transitions. with the rest of the band. then they jammed around some new parts for some new songs -- full band -- then they did two of the hits with aloe singing.

but yeah usually they are boring.
