well maybe I'm wrong. It could be he's a quiet gentle man who played pro-golf is not used to speaking much and is just a good man. Interpretation is such an interesting discussion.

I would suggest that perhaps the format of this show is grating on him. Golf is an arbitrary sport. People like it because it rely's on little interpretaion. The ball has to go in the hole. It is straight and clean. this show is based on opinion. Perhaps he has see things that bother him, felt things that bother him, and has been guarded at times in concern over this.

thanks for the heads up. I am coming to believe he probably is a very good man reading these thoughts.. And comes accross sometimes as guarded not for the want of winning, but as an overall concern for the manner in which this show works.

It's good to discuss interpretation sometimes. It clears the air. thankyou.

speaking of the cuff might cause anger, but it is interpretation that PLACES anger in a mind. A comment or a thought said means nothing unless someone hears it. And still it means nothing. It only means something once it is interpreted. Speaking honestly or straight means nothing. As much as guarding ones thoughts does. It is the way we as humans deal with a thought that means something. Tolerance must be practised. This is a great lesson. People have a lot to offer. There is nothing wrong with saying something, even though it is wrong, there is nothing wrong with saying something, even if it is right. The wrong and right must be interpreted but if nothing is said, how can we find a path through these things?

I'm not against it. I just find it a bit dated and useless. Children like to look at older people and wonder about growing up. Children want to grow up. They want to know how different it is...what they are aiming for, what is expected etc etc etc....

Now if you had two TV's. One with this on it and one With Daddy Cool doing Eagle rock with the video of the cafe with that eagle in b/w going up and down through the crude editing of backwards and forwards manipulation of the film. I am sure Eagle rock would win the attentions of the kids. Why?

Well for one the song is genius, the musicianship stunning, the recording as modern today as 1970, the video pure and with such energy, and it is funny. That damn Eagle and Ross Wilson and the band. It's just brilliant. It is Eagle Rock.

Who needs the wiggles or this shit when we have Eagle Rock? Eagle Rock talks to adults as children and children as adults. It crosses over and delivers, this is the cleverness of genius in rock and roll and the wonderment of the ages.

Always use the best material to teach, teachers. As far as this is concernd it is a fluff piece. So what. I am not against it, I just couldn't use it in a curriculum. I have no need for it.

anyway I am not middle class. and this is not neccessarily the fault of the musicians in this band. they are conditioned by current culture and also probably circumstance played a part. big deal.

I am old and probably yes too intelligent for the rock music field. Though there is nothing middle class about me dude. nothing at all. Nothing middle class about me, my wife or my kids. mr.

look the point I think I need to make is that people tend to talk to kids as if they are kids. ie they treat them like children and get children. they talk down and don't quite understand that kids are pretty quick to see through bullshit, they aint 'conditioned' to see something add in extra elements and back story of indie rock culture and 'forever young twentysomethings' they are just children everything is straight until you teach them WITH THE BEST MATERIAL to be lateral thinkers... So I would suggest it's total shit this video and the best thing is that it holds a mirror to indie rock culture (ie forever young 20 somethings living in fantasy uni-land) better than holding a mirror to childrens learning or abilitiy to comprehend. peace.
