Liz Dealey (22nd Sect, Acid Drops) has the Tote stamp tattooed on her arm, courtesy of a competition some years ago (which, until Sunday/Monday) guarantees her free entry to Tote gigs.

this was Nicole Tadpole's idea in the days of the tote fanzine, Liz was the only person daring enough to take the dare on

My Nell says her friend Jemima also got the Tote stamp tattooed on. Apparently it didnt always guarantee entry

Pity there isn't a Melba award for Best Live Venue

Of course we're for real Block. We don't quite understand your point. Don't you think it's worth nominating?

We would nominate it ourselves, (along with a few other releases) but our own code of conduct prevents us.

If you want to nominate a band, and don't want to buy their album to nominate with (which is totally fair enough)... then perhaps you might feel it's worth contacting the band or their management or record label, and they could provide a copy.

If you are nominating for album of the year and not so much for the artwork, then there is no need to send in a release version of the album. A promo copy will do.

It would be great if Rowland's album was able to be considered for a Melba.
