first time i went to sydney i got off in glebe and walked the whole glebe pt road looking for that bridge. yes, i was stupid, young, but tim rogers songwriting was that entrancing, immersive. i've loved my trips to sydney and melb ever since...and some of that mythology of australia for me is part of tim rogers songwriting.

that said seemingly he was at pure pop on nye so i left because i was too scared to meet him, so yes i'm a hopeless fan. but i like that after all these years they still make me want to rewind. not many recent bands do that for me, so i'm wondering if it's the age at which you discover a ''defining'' band or if modern music is shit, which I'm pretty certain it is not.

still for HFW but HD is awesome, and #4 is a dark horse....

and thanks to a shitty car brand for getting us talking about one of the most under appreciated bands in aus history, in my humble opinion... although what's next? vulture street v odd5 brought to you by suzuki swift? since i left you versus... ummm...

Hi if way is the best, but hourly, daily is still a truly amazing record... Hi fi way had an unshakeable optimism about it that is infectious, you cannot help but smile when you listen to it. The double whammy of gray and how much is enough is killer, what a way to finish an LP, and the sheer energy of the recording is something very few bands achieve... I'm off to listen to it now!
