It is with great sadness that we announce ETHERIC HYMNS will be closing down on April 1 2011. Happily, however, from March 6 2011 until midnight on April 1 2011, we will be offering all store items at massive mark downs, with some stock going at cost price. As per usual, all orders placed during the sale will receive special prizes, stickers and gifts.

Recorded with no more intention than for the simplicity of existence, Craig McElhinney‘s fourth release Temple Pathworkings propels him even further in to the sonic wormhole of despair. Unsurprisingly destined to fade, but not without an impressively cataclysmic show of light and truth, noble in reason yet infant in faculty.

Craig McElhinney has proved himself to be a relentless performing and recording powerhouse since his debut on Meupe **records just two years ago. Journeying evermore in to the expansive creative universe he occupies, he explores textured soundscapes and absurdist composition, moving through meditative drones, mountainous 12-string arrangements, sound collage, ethereal electronica and locked grooves. Temple Pathworkings is McElhinney’s second release on **Grave New World Records and is an absolute testament to the wonder of this radical mind and the rapidly progressing methods he is using to summon such incredible music. Mastered by Matt Rösner, Temple displays a true depth of sound which is utterly complemented by the existential, psychedelic and philosophical concepts which are drawn upon during this listening experience.
