One of my all time favourite front men, Lux Interior has died. This appears to be true, although there has always been the rumours before. He died of a heart condition.

After Iggy, he was the most entertaining front man I saw. He will be sadly missed, and Songs the Lord taught us is blaring as I write this.

Just reading through the commnets.

We contacted many of the bands mentioned. I would have loved to get One Inch Punch/MYC, but they are not going to play. Lawnsmell are playing this as a one off. 30 min set. They are doing it as they used to play with Blitz Babiez. This was my wife Jo's band. She has MS and Glens mum died from the condition. It is close to us both. Blitz Babiez and Gilgamesh played the Sando two years ago. We turned about 100 people away. Rocks are probably the only real original 77 punk rock band playing still. We did approach Frenzal and they were playing shows already. Maybe next year. Nancy Vandal were not on the Radar when we booked the show. Nitocris were not on the radr either, but you never know in the future. Savage Cabbage anyone!!!!!!!!!!

We wanted to keep it old school and give people a chance to see some of the old bands who had so much influence early on. Without a lot of these bands and the people in them, you would not have the scene you have today. plus we are old fucks anyway. My mum said it was a phase and I would grow out of it. HAHAHAHA

Please go out and support the punk/HC/Garage punk shows in Sydney.

MONSTER SESSION IS AT THE MANNING BAR, 14th MARCH 2009. IT STARTS AT 130pm. FIRST BAND AT 200pm.

Playing times will be posted soon.

We will be giving a copy of the Monster Session CD featuring un released and hard to find tracks by all the bands away to everyone who buys a ticket in advance.

Walk up and pay on the day will have to buy the CD inside.

There will also be an auction of collectables. More details to follow.

Its selling fast and will sell out.

Monster Session is bringing together some of Sydneys finest underground bands from the last 20 years to raise money and awareness for MS AUSTRALIA.

The show is on March 14th 2009 at the Manning Bar Sydney; Rocks, Lawnsmell, Blitz Babiez, New Christs, Gilgamesh, Downtime, Terrible Virtue, Celibate Rifles, Crazy Legs Vermin, Midget, This Thing, Crane No6.

Many bands reforming just for the show, with no plans to play afterwards.

There is a Ltd edition CD also that will feature mostly unreleased or first time on CD tracks by all the bands.

We are also having an auction of one off skateboards, Studio time, and a fantastic one off PCC Surfboard with art work by Ben Brown (Hellmenn, Massappeal fame).

Tix are on sale now through Moshtix $28 + booking fee.

This will sell out so get you tix early to avoid dissappointment.
