I can feel some Old Bar comin' on.

When a yarn breaches journalistic standards such as the Richie farrago, there is a point when you are subbing where you may approach the chief sub or the editor and say, ''This isn't right.'' Nine times out of 10, the editor will kindly tell you to get fucked. Nine times out of 10, the editor is a baboon who is only looking at shifting copies. Working in weekly mags is like being a mouse in a wheel. (Or being the victim of perpetual birth cycles, such as Lilith.) It can do your head in over many years. You have to ask yourself if you really came to work to have that fight because MAN the politics that surround telling the ed of a women's rag that their yarn is a pile of shit sometimes isn't worth the pain. All you can do is resign over a fight you didn't win, and land a ''lucrative'' job as a freelance sub. In this job climate, perhaps not so much.

I think I will watch a bit of Todd Trainer and Uffizi, just to liven up the afternoon.

Zuel should flush that clown out

Metallica = no chicks in band. Zuel = washing hair.

I saw them at ATP recently and didn't quite get it. Applaud the frontman's gut, though.
