what are the 250 ones like?

small and clean. the kitchens weren't great but they were livable. i'm sure you could get something nicer as a one bedroom for $250pw.

units were 250 to 320 but we saw a few houses for 300 pw.

we wanted to move to thornbury for work/ recreational reasons.

there really wasn't many people about. 5 - 10 at most of them, one inspections it was us and one other couple. at a lot of them, no one took an application form.

i was also surprised and a lot of the places had more places up for rent nearby that i didn't see online.

we were looking at two bedroom apartments. thornbury and fairfield has a lot to offer (if you can head that way).

also... as i'm moving out, i should post details for my housemate on here.

Housemate wanted to share recently renovated 3 bedroom terrace in lovely Carlton North. The house is large, with a backyard patio area and close to public transport (1, 8 & 96 Tram).

The house has gas appliances and gas water heating, as well as ducted heating for winter.

You would be sharing with a professional male in his late twenties. Would prefer to share with other professional.

The large bedroom is street facing with polished floorboards, wardrobe and large window.

Room will be available from Sunday 24th January.

Rent is $175pw - Bond is $716.

last weekend i went to eight inspections around thornbury, northcote and fairfield. at most inspections there were 5 - 10 people looking at the place. I was expecting utter chaos but it really wasn't the case.

we applied for three on monday morning, were offered two by monday afternoon.

i know being a couple helps, but there were very few people looking around.

my friend and I went there on sunday night, food took twenty minutes. my vegan parma was awesome and my friend said ''that was the best fish and chips i've had!''

The beer garden was also probably the coolest place in brunswick on sunday night too...
