Cockfight Shootout Album Launch ''Asleep in Exile''
Discussion I Made about 4 months ago
Born in 2001 Cockfight Shootout were and still are, a true testament to what happens when you combine the essence of 90’s grunge and give a sincere nod in the direction of the glory days of stoner rock. Ten years in the making, well maybe not quite that long, the darlings of the Melbourne indie rock scene Cockfight Shootout are proud to announce here and now their brand new album (and might we add very aptly titled) Asleep in Exile is finally being released. The bands first long player will have it’s official launch at their home away from home The Tote on Saturday September 24. Guitarist/vocalist Keelan Gallogly, bassist Slatts, drummer Alan Barber and guitarist Paul Clifford signed a licensing deal with indie label Impedance Records earlier this year and as a result Asleep in Exile is finally here. You can buy the album now on iTunes http://itunes.apple.com/au/album/asleep-in-exile/id457478321, or buy a copy from the merch stand on the night while you pick yourself up some other goodies from the Cockfight Shootout lads! Come along, carn, you know you wanna! COCKFIGHT SHOOTOUT ‘ASLEEP IN EXILE’ ALBUM LAUNCH with The Tanks, Fangs, The Yard Apes SATURDAY SEPTEMBER 24 @ The Tote Tickets: www.totehotel.com

Did the Government pay Stonefield and other guy a performance fee for their announcement? Did they give Tote a venue payment?

not necessarily a secret, hence the jostling of many a punter on a saturday morn but I'm always surprised how many people have never heard of it. Like Alimentari meatball wrap

Sitting at work right now hankering for one of these, I'm always astounded by how busy that little shop is on the weekend. I love the secrets of Melbs.

I guess I can understand why people crack such a big fat over bands because they aren't from here. Our subcultures are small, and if you plopped melbourne in america then you wouldn't see the locals you liked for months on end because they have a fuckload other places to play. Nonetheless I remain rigid.
