Hi science geeks. i'm trying to do some self learning in physics and have some questions. Feel free to answer. ha.

potential energy is the amount of energy that could be used - for example say we had 10 negatively charged ions (anion) just sitting around in a pool (can i just say that for ease or am i stuffing things up by doing so?)... then the potential energy is 10 electrons. yes / no?

then we find another 6 anions just sitting around in another pool.

the potential difference between the two pools of anions is the difference between the two pools. Is the difference 2? (i.e. - what it would take to make them both equal) or is it 4 (the difference?)

so when you have a battery that says 9V - is that saying the difference between the positive and negative sides of the battery is 9volts? if that's the case, does the voltage drop as the battery is used (until it is 0) or does it stay the same?

the speed at which the electrons travel is the current?

i bet the lastdon was involved.

hey peeps... I can do this shit. I've got all my bits of paper saying I can do it... but that means nothing right? (Hmmm... not so sure about that - i learned a lot of the technical stuff to do with acoustics from study and formulas).

ANYWAY, if you don't dig formulas, just go here the coincidents and you can hear my work - this was recorded at a few places and i mixed it.

Running PT, Mackie HDR24, Sonar, Reaper etc. You don't want a mixer with his girlfriend's speakers? Ok... how about active Genelecs w/ sub. fricken sweet. Lovely outboard gear, sweet handwired custom shop fender and marshall amps... yay!

$150 a day. If it's got a normal amount of tracks (up to 48) and the drums and bass were recorded in the same session I can usually do 3-4 songs a day. If it's like the last project I did (over 128 tracks) it takes considerably longer (1 - 2 songs a day).

As a side point, whomever you go with, if you have recorded it with another engineer please do them the courtesy of letting them know AT THE START of the session they might not be mixing it. All engineers have pride in their work - but if they don't know someone else will see the raw files they will usually be messy and unorganised (i.e. - tracks not labelled or labelled 'track 21' etc.). A good engineer will always be organised, but not all engineers are good! Plus they may do things that are appropriate if they were mixing but aren't appropriate if the session is to be mixed by someone else. For example, I recently did a job that was supposed to by mixed where it was tracked but then wasn't. Now the engineer compressed the drum overheads to tape - which i have heard done before and can sound cool - but it was annoying knowing i couldn't undo that - if the engineer had known he wasn't going to mix it, unless he was a spaz he wouldn't have done that to tape.

I was at the Occupy Wall Street Protests and it seems to me that the protestors aren't the only ones getting their cues from NY... the Vic police dept also followed the NYPD... it wouldn't surprise me if the next step is the Brooklyn Bridge equivalent - herd everyone onto a road (i.e Collins/ Swanston) and then arrest them all for j walking or something similar.
