'DIGGIN' MELBOURNE' - A Tour Guide For Vinyl Lovers.
Everyone knows that vinyl is still king. It sounds better, feels good and looks great. The classic collectable for music lovers.
As a part of World Record Store Day 2010, Melbourne's vinyl record stores have come together to present 'DIGGIN MELBOURNE', a map of all the local haunts for todays vinyl fiends.
Spanning the entire city from the CBD to the outer suburbs, there's still over 30 stores in Melbourne who supply fresh wax and secondhand gems to record collectors and sample diggers. Digital music may be the way of the future, but there's no denying that the vinyl format reigns supreme.
To celebrate the release and World Record Store Day, Section 8 hosts a free launch party on Saturday April 17 featuring DJs from many of the stores spinning an eclectic mix all afternoon and into the night. So come along, enjoy the music, grab a drink (or two) and a copy of the map. There's treasure out there waiting for you!
Supported by Inpress, Plakkit & Madman Printing.

CDs seem like a waste of time really... does anyone buy them anymore?
i've got a bunch of old tapes from 90s bands if anyone cares to convert them to mp3s

i ran into steph the other day on the street and we're gonna try to get the iTunes stuff up soon. i've been trying for ages... taking forever...
i have some copies of a BL Stryker 7'' here that never came out if anyone wants one. the songs are cheese but whatever... i'll post some more info on that when i get a chance. there's a box with about 20 x 7''s lying around somewhere. i made a Myspace page for BL a a while back and there is about 10 tracks on a CD that never came out too. rough bedroom tapes...
here's some new stuff i've been doing, hoping to release an EP this year - http://soundcloud.com/baddums
would love to get in touch with Matt Blackman from Charge Group to make an EP. lost his contact... if anyone has his email or phone number please let me know!
